Pretty cool. But the hero is kind of stupid. I mean Swordbird?! Really? That's his name? Who wants to be called that?!
Not bad but FAR too much like Redwall, so much so that my inner Badger Lord is starting to growl. On the other hand, the other two books in this trilogy are much better, especially the third one, Sword Mountain, which is a good and enjoyable story in its own right.
Unfortunately this wasn't a book that I liked at all. The characters were not developed at all. Predictable plot. I understand it's pretty cool that a 13 year old wrote this, but my copy of the book had a giant picture of her on the back cover, no humility at all. Please understand I'm not being a hater, this book just wasn't one I enjoyed.
Should I get it out.
P.S. My older sis is turning thirteen and she also wants to write a story.
