This was a amazing end to this trilogy. I enjoyed it right from the start. It made you cry and made you smile. All in all a wonderful trilogy well worth reading.
Will Kim (the Seer) be able to assist or will she mess everything up? Will Jennifer be able to connect with Darien? Why did Kevin do what he did? Will Paul ever fit in (or always be the outsider)? Will Dave survive the war that is on the brink? Will they be able to save Fionavar and all the other worlds that are connected to the Tapestry? Will the Unraveller battle and triumph? Read the final book in the trilogy to get answers to the above questions. Enjoy.
Awesome book. I'm not one to re-read books but I have read the trilogy (The Summer Tree, The Wandering Fire and The Darkest Road) twice and I'll read it again. You really feel for the charachters and the sacrifices they take. Once you start reading, you have to finish. Beautifully written.
I dare you not to cry through this one.
I read this trilogy once a year, and every year without fail my heart is broken all over again, I am ensconced in a world all over again, my mood is eventually uplifted all over again. This is high fantasy at its greatest. Kay is a writer nonpareil in this genre and I would highly recommend this to anyone.
