I like this series even though I do not necessarily like the premise behind it. I do think it would make a good tv series or movies

I read the last chapter of the first book and then I read this one :P Probably shouldn't have done that but I told my brother that if he didn't tell me what the first one was about I'd read the last page.

That got me interested.

I actually kind-of liked reading Pretties before Uglies, I actually knew just as much as Tally, and I was able to grow with her.

It has some grown-up stuff (lots of KISSING) so I think that it is definately in the teen genre. (I read it before I turned thirteen though)

It is totally sci-fi and a wonderful world to explore.

Tally is super happy, she's got a hot boyfriend, and awesome new clique and a very pretty face.

That is, she's happy until an ugly from her past shows up, plunging her back into the world that her surgeries made her forget.

Totally Fantastic and epically fun. A great read for the Sci-fi fan, or anyone else for that matter!

Zane and Tally kiss like 10 times in four or five chapters like every time they climbed onto a new building in that cure scene ugh

I really liked this book, but the first one was alot better! And even though this one ended on a cliff-hanger I thought that the ending of the first book was better aswell. But I really liked this book and it's ALOT better then some other books i've read!

Oh my goodness!
This book left me angered and curious.
They put the end on a cliffhanger.
WHY!!!
The book got better and better and better and better...
THEN IT ENDED.
It thought is would end wayy differently.
This was way better than I thought, lol.

I didn't jump right into this book after I finished Uglies because I wasn't sure if I really wanted to continue on with it. But every time I saw it sitting there I just thought I mine as well read it. I was actually surprised with this sequel. I really wasn't expecting it to be that good but I found myself getting quite attached. We join Tally as a pretty in the sequel, something she's always wanted to be when she was an ugly. But now that she is a pretty, she's not enjoying it as much as she thought she would. Here's what surprised me: You don't hear from David until near the end. But during the main duration of the book, Tally surprisingly gets a boyfriend named Zane, who in my opinion, I like better. In the beginning, I was very weary of him. But I found he's just so much more like Tally I found and the way the author described him, I fell in love with his character. There was a lot more action in this book then I found in the last which I loved. I also liked how we actually got to see how a pretty mind thinks and see their kind of slang with words like; Bogus and bubbly. The ending was great and now I do want to pick up the third and final book. So overall, I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

My friend got me the uglies and pretties book for my birthday and I read the uglies and really liked it but I didn't expect the second book to be as good. It was way better than I expected. Just like the uglies book, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Complete non-stop action, if you like futuristic, dystopia, action, read this book! I absolutely love this series, and it's one that will make you want to hunt the author down, haha just kidding . . . maybe. But seriously there are so many twists and turns I couldn't stop reading.

I think this sequel to "Uglies" is almost better than the first. Action packed and full of thrills, the twist at the end has me waiting very impatiently for the next one.

Pretties picks up where Uglies left off. Tally has been turned pretty and dull-witted. Tally loves the pretty life of partying, drinking, and doing whatever she wants. She has a lot of fun with it, until one day at a costume party, she sees someone in a specials costume, and she starts feeling like something's not right with her world. Together with Zane, another pretty, Tally must track down the clue to her past as an ugly. When she does though, the repercussions of her choices afterward will continue long into the book. As Tally remembers the truth, she tries to figure out a way to help the other pretties and to save herself and Zane as well.
