Review – The Natural Way to Draw

A hidden gem of a tutorial book. I didn't get to use it all because of time, but the breath of difficulty is wide. The book contains several exercises and a schedule for them. It advocates a small number of drawings repeated many times. Drawing sessions are three hours each, but can certainly be broken up over several days. The instruction emphasizes “feelings” when drawing, and not just copying. Most drawings are “single-line” where pencils are not lifted from paper. Pencil and ink are used on manilla wrapping paper off a roll.
