I wanted to know what depression really IS. I knew how the word got tossed around, and how I had always used it. This book is the best explanation I've read yet. In contrast, it also thoroughly describes what our society THINKS it is. And beyond that, it makes clear arguments as to why we should be against depression, and help ourselves and our loved one to work against the acceptance of its handicaps. Kramer is a deep thinker, and a very observant man.
