Recognizing the need to nurture the growth and development of cultural activity in Medicine Hat, the F.M.H.C.S. was formed with these aims: 1. To preserve the excellence of the existing Conservatory of Music & Dance programs at the Medicine Hat College. 2. To provide a channel for information to flow between students, parents, instructors and college administrators. These aims are accomplished by encouraging financial support for the existing Conservatory programs and by actually establishing a fund for the operation of the Medicine Hat College Conservatory of Music and Dance. Funds are raised through the collection of membership fees, donations and by participating in various fund-raising activities. Some of the money raised is used for scholarships for students of the M.H.C.C.M.&D.
