I liked the story. I was surprised about some of the things that happened though.
Slightly weird in some ways, but it satisfactorily wrapped up the story that started with Uglies.
Though the book could be long and unsuspenseful in some parts, the book was still great and I have a lot of anticipation for how the book ends! The story-line is one of the quite creative, and the characters are great. I can't wait to read Extras!
Hm, Something happened between Pretties, and Specials. This book was significantly worse than pretties. It wasn't even close to being interesting.
The next book after was also PRETTY dissapointing (Pun intended).
It was just really boring to read. The first two were amazing... Then this?
It kinda ruined the series (and also my view on Tally)
I liked this book a little bit.
I did not like this book because it glorified self-harm and never clarified that it's not the right thing to do. Cutting does not make you cool, and does not free you from anything. It might feel good in the moment but could get you addicted and is dangerous to your health. If you are considering self-harm, please seek help or find alternative coping strategies like drawing on your skin or using ice or cutting paper. Cutting does not make you icy or elite or special. Please, don't do it.
What happened between "Pretties" and this that made Tally lose all her agency? I mean, she made some boneheaded mistakes in the first two books, but at least was an active protagonist. She spends this book getting pulled along in the wake of other people's plans. Very disappointing.
the last book in the series. follows tally as a special and is given an opportunity to destroy the new smoke once and for all
The series is progressing to be more and more stereotypical, but the suspense building is great. Honestly, I hate the series at this point, but the suspense is making me keep reading it.
