My first historical fiction read. It was good. The story was easy to keep up with no matter if I stopped chapter to chapter or mid chapters. This kind of book is good for a break between your serious reads.

I really enjoyed this novel about the second marriage of Napoleon. The characters were interesting and I love how at the end when you find out what happens to the characters in real life.

I have always been a huge Michelle Moran fan, and although this book is a great short read, its not her best.
Still, its esp worthwhile for those who haven't read books by this author before. Enjoy!

This engaging historical novel about the last six years of Napoleon's reign focuses on his relationships with his second wife Maria-Lucia of Austria and his sister Pauline. The story is effectively told from the viewpoint of three different characters. A quick and easy read!
