This book is much more an academic look at narcissism from a societal point of view. If you're looking for something about NPD in particular this won't give you much information. There are much better books out there that explain the individual disorder. "In Sheep's Clothing" is an excellent one if you have been hurt by a narcissist and are trying to understand what happened to you and heal it.

I'm so smart I wrote this book.

This is an entertaining read, and is relevant to modern life - but this book is not targeted to address the psychological disorder of narcissism. You may find some intersections with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, but this book deals primarily with cultural "narcissism," which is a more general problem.

Narcissism --- avery positive and inflated view of oneself --- is everywhere.

This book reveals the pernicious spread of narcissism in today's culture and its rather catastrophic effects on society.

Sudha asked for this book. Neither she nor I could read because of the holidays (prior, during, and after Christmas).

Should borrow it again.
