SummaryAdd a Summary
One White Dolphin is a marvelous book of fiction, where we experience the story of our main lead, Kara Wood, and her love for the aquatic life. Unfortunately, it has come to a time where the fishermen want to dredge the reef in order to sell them for more, and reel in extra profit. Despite knowing Kara would do anything for the ocean, her condition is barely fit enough to help both her family and the ocean —— especially considering their financial struggle and troubles at school. Then to top it all off, the disappearance of her mother is what hit her the most.
It almost feels despairing, until she encounters an albino baby dolphin at the shore of the reef, which only motivates her to try harder, in order to save her town's reef. Overall, the story is very uplifting despite her rough times, and allows us to acknowledge remain hopeful. In addition to that, we learn a few additional facts on what we can do, and how we can save our local waters. All in all, the plot was very well developed, and it is quite possibly one of my favorite books!
