Lizzie McKettrick is coming home for Christmas. And Indian Rock's new schoolteacher has a surprise in store for her family - a special young man, Whitney Carson. He might seem a little too interested in the McKettrick money, but Lizzie's certain Whitney cares for her.

Yet fate has a surprise of its own for Lizzie in the person of Dr. Morgan Shane. When their homebound train is halted by a massive avalanche, injuring and stranding its passengers, the handsome doctor takes charge - with Lizzie by his side.

Lizzie and Morgan know time is running out. With another avalanche looming and the train's food supply dwindling, it's going to be a bleak Christmas Eve. But with faith, hard work and a little help from the most unexpected source, they just might find their way home to celebrate a McKettrick Christmas after all.

I enjoyed this story.
I have a comment to other readers. Why do some readers feel the need to correct what they view as spelling/grammatical errors in a book - IN INK? Apparently, one reader of the copy of the book I read even took issue with wishing someone a 'Happy Christmas'. This reader crossed out Happy and wrote Merry.
If you own a book, it's fine to write all over it but these aren't your books and I think it's very rude to mark them up.

This was a good read because it was a great story. It had Christmas spirit and showed how humanity can do good deeds. I really liked Mr. Christian and the gang. Well.....most of them anyway. lol I'd highly recommend this book.
