This book is highly disappointing. The main character is a loser and not very interesting. The story starts slowly, picks up speed and then craps out coming to an end not worthy of the reader.
The writing is good in places. The title is deceiving in that if if the main character and his behavior is the origin of the human race, it is a sad time.

This book is really hard to get into and drags on and on. Could not get past the first 20 pages.

I found that it dragged in places. It wasn't a bad book...but it wasn't the greatest I've read. It did get me thinking about the Galapagos Islands again though...and how much I'd love to visit them some day.

This book drags on and is hard to get into. If you suffer through it does give you a lot to think about. It does inspire one to find out more about Darwin and evolution.
