I find this book super awesome, with all the monsters, but there might have been a little bit to much fighting.

This is a excellent book for 7+ to 10 after that this book is less challenging. It might be time for the kids who are over 10 to move on. This book is about demigods (half human half god) adventure story. And Greek gods and goddesses.(Greek Mythology on New York days, take place in about 2000 to 2009)

This book is amazing!!! The Gods and Goddesses are all in the "Western Civilization" as they call it and all the adventures they have really gets you fired up. This book is amazing and so are all Rick Riordon's others. This is a MUST read. Rick Riordon you are an amazing author, and your books are so interesting. Keep writing.

These are such fun books. Percy and Annabelle are great to follow through these quests. I liked that Clarisse was more of a factor in this book and that they are expanding the quests to include other campers.

I really liked that this installment focused primarily on the sea myths and allowed Percy to show off a bit.

I adored Tyson. I think it took Annabelle too long to come around but that isn't Tyson's fault. I liked that he was able to be a full participant in the quest and had his own skill set that ended up being incredibly useful.

The next one should be good with that ending as well.

“We only came close to dying six or seven times, which I thought was pretty good. Once, I lost my grip and found myself dangling by one hand from a ledge fifty feet above the rocky surf. But I found another handhold and kept climbing. A minute later Annabeth hit a slippery patch of moss and her foot slipped. Fortunately, she found something else to put it against. Unfortunately, that something was my face.
"Sorry," she murrmured.
"S'okay," I grunted, though I'd never really wanted to know what Annabeth's sneaker tasted like.”

“Ever come home and found your room messed up? Like some helpful person (hi, Mom) has tried to "clean" it, and suddenly you can't find anything? And even if nothing is missing, you get that creepy feeling like somebody's been looking through your private stuff and dusting everything with lemon furniture polish?”

“I couldn't believe I'd come this far, lost Tyson, suffered through so much, only to fail - stopped by a big stupid monster in a baby-blue tuxedo kilt. Nobody was going to swat down my friends like that! I mean...nobody, not Nobody. Ah, you know what I mean.”

On Percy's last day of school, he and his friend/cyclops half-brother Tyson are attacked by giants. Annabeth appears and saves them before leaving for camp. When they arrive, Percy learns that Thalia's tree, the tree protecting the camp, has been poisoned and Chiron has been accused of poisoning and he was fired. If Thalia's tree fully dies, then the camp boarders won't be protected and more Monsters will start attacking the camp. This will continue unless they find another way to protect the camp borders or the camp will be overrun by monsters. To save the tree, a quest is given to find the Golden Fleece. Clarisse La Rue, a daughter of Ares, will lead the quest to find the Golden Fleece. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson sneak off, not just for the Golden Fleece, but to find their friend Grover Underwood. They meet Luke on the ship, but are able to escape. They soon join with Clarisse on her quest. Her ship is destroyed passing through the Sea of Monsters and Annabeth and Percy continue their search for Grover after becoming separated from the others. After encountering the sirens and Circe, Annabeth and Percy reach the Polyphemus' cave. They are able to rescue Grover and Clarisse and Tyson helps defeats Polyphemus. They recover the fleece and head to Miami. Clarisse heads to camp and the others are captured by Luke. They are about to be killed before Chiron and the Party Ponies (other centaurs) rescue them and take them to camp.
