Chris Hadfield takes readers deep into his years of training and space exploration to show how to make the impossible possible. Through eye-opening, entertaining stories filled with the adrenaline of launch, the mesmerizing wonder of space walks and the measured, calm responses mandated by crises, he explains how conventional wisdom can get in the way of real achievement - and happiness. His own extraordinary education in space has taught him some counterintuitive lessons: don't visualize success, do care what others think, and always sweat the small stuff (because if you don't, you die). This is Hadfield's story of how he became an astronaut (and why he had to work twice as hard to get a chance because he was Canadian).

It was a pleasure to listen to the audiobook of An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth by Chris Hadfield. It was written in very engaging language. This is the biography of Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield in which the importance of training and preparation is stressed, showing how even the slightest mistake in space can be fatal and how “it is a rocket science” to be an astronaut. This was a true account of leadership. I really enjoyed listening to Chris Hadfield’s story. I had no idea how much preparation it takes to embark on the trip to space and how much impact Chris’s professional life had on his family. (Submitted by Ilona).

Although I appreciated the positive messages Hadfield shares in his book, I found it a bit repetitive.

Very interesting read about the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices it takes to make it as an astronaut with NASA. Filled with stories that are relatable to succeeding in life on Earth and in space. Very highly recommended!

A very inspiring and motivating life story told from former astronaut Chris Hadfield. He talks about the gruelling difficulties that he has faced throughout his career with NASA, and the long training process that he had to go through before being able to go to the International Space Station. This book was truly great and the reader got to experience and connect with Chris as he expresses his thoughts and feelings.

I would highly recommend this book. It is a very high interest, very readable book. You don't have to have an interest in space to enjoy this. It is simply a story of how he was able to accomplish some of the amazing things he has done. You will be inspired by the life and work ethic of this very accomplished man.

An interesting insight on what astronauts do to train and prepare for a mission, and how many of these things can be applied to everyday life.

Chris Hadfield's "An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth" was such an enlightening read. Hadfield masterfully explains intricate details of an astronaut's career while still reaching the reader through humour.

The organization seemed a little strange with him jumping around through various parts of his career.
