I didn't really like the way this book ended. It left you hanging in the air.

Seems like Jeff Lindsay got confused about who Dexter is. He seemed to take on the characteristics of the Dexter character of the last season of the show, as opposed to his literary character. A bit of a bummer.

A terrible Dexter book. You'll be grateful when it's over; I know I was. I wouldn't recommend reading this one.

I did not like Dexter's treatment and thoughts toward Rita, nor his foray into the glitter and superficiality of Hollywood. I can accept him as a lovable serial killer, but not this slimey version of Dexter. Hope the books don't end, not after how the TV show butchered what could of been a brilliant finale.

Is this really the last book in this series? I found myself caught up in the plot, even after I finished reading it. Can they really end it this way?

Dexter wants to be a movie star! It is interesting how much the book character has diverged from the TV series character. But I have to say I really enjoy the book Dexter! Not to say I don't enjoy the TV series too. It's a really great read for those who enjoy the rather odd view on life of a serial killer that also works for the police department.

What a pleasant find - and it's apparently the last book in this series (like Sherlock Holmes?) Anyway the story is great and the author a real wordsmith. Very witty. Did wonder who this apparently law abiding although "non human" Dexter went around killing and the precis confirmed my suspicion. Phew! Can't wait to read more about this delicious Dexter.
