Some pets run away. Some come back, some do not. Some pets die of an illness and some die accidentally. Death is explained in this book as an important stage in the life cycle. Sometimes people may feel guilty for having angry thoughts or saying angry words before the pet's death. Children are told that angry words and thoughts do not cause bad things to happen.
