A cursed and blind liveship; a crew composed of cutthroats; an enemy armed to the teeth. It is in these conditions, at least precarious, that Ambre, Althea and Brashen embark on the paragon finally put to the water. Time is running out because the Vivacia must be ripped out of the hands of the pirate Kennit before the latter has permanently attached to the soul of the liveship. The situation is hardly better for the members of the Vestrit family who stayed in Terrilville. Malta is trying to look good at the summer ball. But the dragon of the rainy desert is hoarding his thoughts. And if she had a role to play in the plans of this millennial being? Gradually, the link between liveships and dragons retires... But for what purpose?
