When I read songs in the cd jacket, I wondered how many times that someone could sing about their past, being wronged, babies, the other woman, jail etc.. the staples of country music. Then I listened to this record. Loretta Lynn is not "back", she never left. Her collaboration with Jack White (White Stripes) is musicl bliss. When you listen to this album, she transform you to the scene of the song. On one track, Little Rose Shoes, there is a music track playing while she describes how the song came about. It is not a rap but it is certainly better than what Cowboy Troy put recorded. This recording was a honor and a priviledge to listen to.
