I really love Becky Bloomwood. She is such a great protagonist and so relatable. I've loved the shopaholic series and even though some people are getting tired of these books, I adore them. In this book Becky deals with rising a very energetic two year old, Minnie. Minnie is just as much of a shopaholic as her mother, already knowing words like Gucci and even ordering clothes on Ebay! On top of that, Becky and her husband are still looking for a house as they've seen 4 already that all didn't work out. At this point, becky really needs her Christmas wishes to come true. It was different seeing Rebecca as a mom, but she was still the same person who goes crazy over a 50% off sign. This book really shows Becky as the unselfish person she really is as throughout the book Rebecca struggles with trying to plan her husband, Luke a surprise birthday party on a budget. There are many hilarious mix ups throughout the book as Becky tries to cut back on her shopping as well as raise Minnie to be well behaved. I really liked the new characters that were introduced in this book such as Bonnie, Luke’s kind assistant as well as the appearance of some loved and not so loved characters that were in the previous books. This book is a great, light hearted read that will keep you laughing, with stories of mean nannies to Botox. If you’re a fan of Sophie Kinsella’s other books, you’ll definitely enjoy this one as well.
