It is nice to see something written by someone who actually knows something about firearms and about actually fighting. A bit too much unreal jujitsu, but I do understand the bias one can have for their own favored style. AND the application of real-world firearms. Gun nuts should enjoy it. And "gamers" should as well. Gives some reality to their choice of weapons when they choose between "missions". The shooting is real, the fighting is mostly real, and they're really are bad guys in this world. On thousands of street corners in cities across the country there are real ones selling young girls' bodies and the drugs that enslave them And there really are pseudo-liberal goofball politicians running most things politically. :-)
But it is fun reading and that IS what the reading is for. Taylor certainly does a more realistic job than the Ludlum type of book where you KNOW it is being written by someone who is a great writer but someone who really does not understand either guns OR personal combat. Perhaps not the best from Taylor but certainly worth escapism reading.
